Frequently Asked Question

You need to install Thunderbird and setup both your other email account (Gmail/Hotmail) and your Countermail account. Then use Thunderbird to copy the email folder by folder.

Some settings for other providers:

GMAIL
Go to Settings / POP3 Fetch mail and Add a new server, use the following settings:
Server: pop.gmail.com
Port: 995
Alias: Short description (optional, not important)
Username: your_gmail_account@gmail.com
Password: your password
Authentication: USER
Connection type: Use TLS
Store in folder: Select which CM-folder you want to download to
Leave mail on server: Check this if you want to delete the downloaded emails from Gmail's server
Click [Add server], select the Gmail server and click on [Import mail].

HOTMAIL
Same as GMAIL, except the two settings below:
Server: pop3.live.com
Username: your_hotmail_account@hotmail.com

YAHOO
You need to enable POP in your Yahoo-account Options -> POP and forwarding -> Access Yahoo! Mail via POP -> [Save]
Settings are same as GMAIL, except the two settings below:
Server: pop.mail.yahoo.com
Username: your_yahoo_mail_account@yahoo.com

HUSHMAIL
Same as GMAIL, except the two settings below:
Server: pop.hushmail.com
Username: your_hushmail_name@hushmail.com
